Volvo XC Coupe Makes Detroit Debut

The first day of the North American International Auto Show has come to a close, and we saw plenty of cool cars and concepts on the dias in Detroit. One car that was of particular interest though was the Volvo XC Coupe, the first concept car from Volvo built under the leadership of China’s Geely. Suffice to say, we’re looking forward to see more.

Volvo Concept Coupe A Hybrid Reflection Of The P1800

While Swedish automaker Volvo is known mostly for safety and station wagons, once upon a time it built one of the cleanest coupes of any car company; the P1800. With Volvo now under Chinese control, I wasn’t sure what direction the design would take, but the new Volvo Concept Coupe is a jaw-droppingly gorgeous tribute to the P1800, and it’s a hybrid to boot.
