Currently high speed rail is, well, chugging along in America. Congress has appropriated $10 billion to the high speed rail effort in the past three years. Thirty-two states and DC are moving ahead on high speed rail projects. Public opinion on high speed rail is high, about 62% of American’s say they would use high speed rail if they had access to it according to the American Public Transportation Association.

Euro-Volt Get’s Selectable EV Mode; Not Planned for U.S.

Is this a case of the grass is always greener, or is GM cutting the U.S. market out of one of the Chevy Volt’s coolest tricks? Over in Europe, the Chevy Volt will get a selectable EV-mode button that will allow drivers to choose if they want to run the gas-engine, or drive in EV-only mode.
