Jalopnik Predicts Ford Bronco Future … a Year Later

If today’s Jalopnik article predicting that the upcoming 2017 Ford Bronco would be based on the Euro Ranger-based Everest SUV seemed familiar, that’s because it was. We made that same prediction almost a year ago, when we first wrote about the reborn 2017 Ford Bronco and overseas-exclusive Ranger models coming back to the US.

If they do start building a new Bronco, it’s more likely to be something Ranger-based, like the Euro-market Ford Everest …

… which would make sense, since the previous Ranger-based Bronco II evolved, eventually, into the Ford Explorer, which has now gone to a more car-like unibody frame.

That’s not to take anything away from Jalopnik or Truck Yeah!- they’re two of our favorite blogs!- it’s just nice every once in a while to be able to feel like we’re ahead of the curve when it comes to prognosticating on Ford’s product plans, you know? You know.

Still, prediction isn’t fun when you know that your (boring) guess is the right one- so head on over to this article from back in March by Steve Hanley. Steve has a more optimistic view on what the all-new for 2017 Ford Bronco SUV might eventually become, and feel free to tell us what you think of Ford’s possible futures in the comments section at the bottom of the article.
