When a car like the Tesla Model S comes onto the scene, people don’t know how to react at first. But once it becomes readily apparent that an automaker has a hit on their hand, the aftermarket tends to react accordingly. Revozport is known for working with high-end autos from Lamborghini and McLaren, and now it has turned its collective talents to the Tesla Model S.
The Chinese bodykit specialist is offering its R-zentric complete aerokit for $5,690, adding a pair of unique spoilers (one front, one back) and side skirts to your Model S. The changes are subtle compared to kits from say Unplugged Performance, and different parts can be purchases separately (like the $800 rear spoiler). Revozport also offers a set of 22-inch Klassen wheels that will set you back (wait for it) $11,000, a jaw-dropping amount to anybody who can’t afford a Model S. Considering that even the base Model S will cost you north of $120,000 in Hong Kong, a set of $11,000 rims isn’t even that bad.
There’s apparently enough appetite for aftermarket parts for the Model S to support a growing number of options, which says to me that it’s not just electric car geeks, but genuine automotive enthusiasts are getting behind the wheel. Every kit might not be to your or my liking, but there’s a growing number of Tesla enthusiasts who want their car to stand out from the crowd even more than it already does.
As Martha would say, “It’s a good thing.”
