E.L. James Among First UK Model S Owners

Fifty Shades of Grey writer E.L. James was among the first U.K. buyers of the right-hand driver version of the Tesla Model S. Thanks to its long range and the small size of the U.K., Model S owners can get from one side of the country to the other with just a single Supercharger stop.

Trasnport Evolved reports that E.L. James was among the first five lucky Model S owners in the U.K to get the keys handed to them by Tesla CEO Elon Musk himself, taking ownership of a fully-loaded red Model S. Though just 16% of Tesla owners are women, E.L. James’s ownership of a Model S could give the brand more awareness among the fairer sex.

On a more macro level, it also means that the Tesla Model S can now be sold in any country, regardless of which side of the road they drive on. With Supercharger stations going up all over the Old World, European drivers will soon be able to cross their owner continent without paying a single cent for fuel.

I wonder if the Tesla Model S will work its way into the next chapter of James’s BDSM bestseller, or maybe even the upcoming movie. Things could get kinky in the all-electric sedan.
