Formula 1 2014: Grand Prix of Canada – Qualifying Results

2014 Grand Prix of Canada Qualy

Since the dawn of the Pirelli era of Formula 1, the Grand Prix of Canada has delivered some of the most exciting and thrilling races in Grand Prix history. 1-stop runs from Sauber, a last-lap win from Jenson Button, and – of course! – the Wall of Champions. This year, the Wall of Champions’ siren song has already cost the Caterham team some money, and will surely cost some other teams some more during tomorrow’s race.

Speaking of the race, Sebastian Vettel put his Renault-powered Red Bull in an impressive P3 – just behind the dominant Mercedes AMG Hybrids of Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton, respectively, but ahead of the hard-charging Williams Martinis racers (who, it should be noted, were much faster than Seb on the track’s 3/4 mile back straight).

That P3 also marked one of the few times Vettel has out-performed his young team mate, Daniel Ricciardo. Is this the start of Vettel’s 2014 championship drive? Could be.

Here’s how qualifying played out for the rest of the Formula 1 field ahead of tomorrow’s Formula 1 Grand Prix of Canada.
