Harley-Davidson Street 750 Goes Ice Racing (w/ Video)

Harley-Davidson 750 Street

Harley-Davidson’s upcoming Street 500 and Street 750 models have raised a few eyebrows with their water-cooled engines and “Made in India” construction, but Harley hopes this latest video will help its new Street models raise your pulse more than your eyebrows. In it, Harley does something on its new Street models that you probably couldn’t (and, definitely, shouldn’t) do on an old-school Electra Glide: Ice Racing.

Harley’s hired stunt-riders do a good job of making the new, 47 HP Street 750 model look racy in the video, which features lightly modified Street bikes on studded tires going seriously sideways. It’s a passable imitation of an old dirt flat-tracker, sure … but you get the feeling you’d never be able to get a bike that heavy that sideways on the street- especially with just 47 HP, you know?

Watch the video for yourself, below, then let us know if you think that Harley’s low-emissions, high-MPG Street models line up with the Street 750’s Harley-Davidison PR department’s racy ambitions in the comments section at the bottom of the page. Enjoy!
