Stella Solar Family Sedan Wins the World Solar Challenge

When we first covered the Stella solar racer you see here, we talked about its designers’ goal to build a solar-powered car that had some real-world practicality. Seating for four adults, cargo capacity, a passable top speed (approaching 50 mph), and a usable range. With all those things, and a range of 370+ miles on a full charge, the Stella ticked all the right boxes. Now, however, this solar family sedan may have just ticked its most impressive box, yet: the Stella jut won the World Solar Challenge.
