Memorial Day Madness for F1, Indy, and NASCAR Fans

SWEETJEEBUS, people! Did you see this morning’s Formula 1 qualifying session at Monaco? Who knew ‘ol Schumi still had that in him, am I right? Wild. For those of you who didn’t catch this morning’s action, kill yourselves don’t worry – there’s plenty more racing action coming your way this Memorial Day weekend!

In Europe, the final weekend in May means Monaco, where 23 of the world’s best drivers and Narain Karthikeyan will compete wheel-to-wheel and at breakneck speeds in the fastest hybrid-electric cars ever built. Closer to home, we have the 96th running of the Indianapolis 500 – America’s premier open-wheel event featuring ear-splitting, alcohol-fueled, 200+ mph bullets zipping around high-banked ovals and missing concrete walls by the narrowest of margins.

Speaking of concrete walls, if your tastes lean more towards watching 200 mph (15%) alcohol-fueled, ear-splitting bullets hitting (rather than missing) concrete walls, you can catch Sunday afternoon’s NASCAR 600 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina.

Madness all over, in other words.

You can get more event information, full-featured reports, and maybe some last-minute tickets for these events at their official websites, below.

Enjoy your weekend, dear reader!
