It's Possible To Make the Honda CR-Z Look Even Better

Japan has a thing for limited edition goods and toys – whether that’s keychains that are only available locally (and no, you cannot buy them on the internet) or bottled coffee flavors only available in one supermarket chain during the month of June 2007 and then never again, something about the market just thrives on the idea of something available so ephemerally.

The limited edition car is of course also popular; even when the limited edition is a one-off that will never be sold (the Hello Kitty i-MiEV comes to mind), it draws attention. Honda has decided to give the idea a go with the already awesome CR-Z; we at Gas2 have talked about the CR-Z (and talked, and talked, because it is – let me use the word again – super awesome), but now it will be available in a limited edition color with matching interior.

The special CR-Z is called α・Dressed label (why, I’m not sure). The exterior shade is named Mocha Pearl, and I want it. I thought the CR-Z looked great in red, but red’s got nothing on this gorgeous shimmery chocolate color. The interior includes “premium metal” for the gas, brake and clutch pedals and color-coordinates its fabrics with the exterior.

If you’re lucky enough to either live in Japan or have the funds to buy the car there and have it shipped elsewhere, the limited edition is available until the end of May.
