The second revival of the Detroit Electric name is banking on a carbon copy of the Tesla Roadster to get the ball rolling on this new/old brand, as well cashing in on Detroit’s resurgence as a manufacturing hub. This is the end, my friend.
Speculation over Henrik Fisker’s sudden departure from the company bearing his name has centered around the plan to court Chinese investors. But a new report suggests that the differences between Fisker and CEO Tony Posawatz went much deeper than that, with the two pitching very different visions of the green car company’s future.

Swedish automaker Volvo has been on a long and strange journey in the past few years. After buying Volvo, Ford later sold it (at a substantial loss) to Chinese automaker Geely. Who would ever imagine that we would reach a point in politics where one party is openly rooting for the failure of American companies? Yet that is exactly what the GOP is doing these days, cheering loudly whenever a green energy company files for bankruptcy and making a point to tie it all back to […]
The United States and China are two fundamentally different countries, and nowhere does that shine through more obviously than in transportation. While American politicians block any and all efforts to promote alternative fuels and high-speed transportation, China has wholly embraced these concepts. And now China’s government has revealed a new set of extremely generous subsidies […]
