Review: The 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid SEL

The C-Max is the first hybrid that I have spent a significant amount of time with. My other experiences are an hour with a Prius and 3 laps of a test track in a Focus Electric. I liked the Focus Electric and was underwhelmed with the Prius, but the C-Max has opened my eyes to hybrids! I learned a lot about myself, my driving style, and what it means to be a hybrid driver slow.

Electric And Hybrid Car Sales Continue To Climb In 2013

With more hybrid cars on the market than ever, it should come as no surprise that sales of hybrid vehicles continue to grow month after month. 2013 could prove to be a watershed year for hybrid cars though, with sales of both pure electric and hybrid vehicles putting on strong showings in an increasingly competitive car market.

GE Ditches Plans For 25,000 EVS And Hybrids By 2015

While General Electric has a vested interest in see electric and plug-in hybrid cars storm the car market, GE has apparently had a change of heart. The electronics and aviation giant announced that it was no longer seeking to replace much of its fleet with 25,000 hybrid and electric vehicles. Instead, GE will pursue other alt-fuel options, including CNG and propane.

2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid Nets 47 MPG Rating

Ford is positioning the 2013 C-Max Hybrid as a Prius fighter, and for good reason. For more than a decade, the Toyota Prius has been the undisputed King of Miles Per Gallon. But with pretty much every automaker in the world gunning for it, the MPG gap is growing narrower by the day. The Blue Oval announced that the 2013 C-Max Hybrid nets a combined mileage of 47 MPG…just 3 MPG behind the mighty Prius.
