2015 Kia Soul EV Ad Brings The Furry Funny

GEICO has pigs and geckos, Budweiser has Clydesdales and Coca-Cola has polar bears. Animals have always been popular spokes characters in world of advertising it seems, and Kia is no exception. Its rambunctious, loveable hamsters have starred in its advertising videos for years, winning many awards along the way. Now a new hamster video has been unveiled for the 2015 Kia Soul EV, and it’s adorable.

The video aired during the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, which makes plenty of sense given the musical nature of the advertisement. As for the Soul EV itself, it goes on sale in the U.S. in 2015 with a 27 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that enables it to drive between 80 and 120 miles per charge, and can get an 80% recharge in as little as 30 minutes.

Can dancing hamsters help move electric cars? Will kids convince their parents based solely on the furry and funny antics of the Kia ads? Stranger things have happened.
