Canada's Lito Sora Electric Superbike Is Ready To Roll
Canada is not generally a place we talk generally about when it comes to either green energy or performance vehicles, so this post is a two-fer in that regard. After two and a half years of development in Canada, the Lito Sora electric super bike is ready to roll. For $45,000, you can make this gorgeous electric motorcycle yours.
That works out to about 49,900 Canadian bucks, though you get a lot of technology for your loonies. Hand built from carbon fiber and aluminum to keep weight down to 573 pounds, the Sora incorporates a number of techie features like an adjustable electric seat that will make it accommodate riders of almost any size. Lito Green Motion also incorporated the Smart Battery Management software, which ensures there’s enough juice in the 12 kWh lithium-ion battery to get you to and from your destination. Range is rated at about 124 miles in the city, and as “more than” 62 miles at highway speeds, with 66 ft-lbs of torque to twist out a top speed of 118 MPH.
Despite all this tech though, recharge time is rated at 9 hours with a Level 2 charger. Kind of weaksauce if you ask me, though you do get a 5.7-inch LCD touch screen interface that looks all sorts of futuristic. The styling is also out-of-this-world, combining classic elements like the bobber-style rear fender and a street fighter-inspired front.
It might not be everybody’s cup of tea, especially at $45,000, but it’s a beautiful product that would stand out in almost any crowd.
