Nissan’s ZEOD RC is a showpiece of new, bleeding edge technology. From the shape of the car to its innovative chassis to its impossibly light racing engine to its next-generation electrical system, the ZEOD RC is changing the way people look at endurance racing.
That future-forward electrical system is the focus of the latest video from Nissan’s Nismo racing division, who (along with the guys from Engineering Explained) produced this excellent “deep dive” video that goes into all the whys and hows of the electrical system that will pave the way for more electric racing cars, electrified road cars like the next Nissan Leaf and 2016 Nissan BladeGlider, and- down the road- airplanes, lawnmowers, and more.
You can see what Nissan has to say about the video, here …
Jason from Engineering Explained tells us all about the ZEOD RC’s Electrical Systems and Zero Emissions on Demand motors that are capable of making the car go at 300km per hour!
… and see the exciting video for yourself, below. While you’re watching, take a look at how freakin’ fast the ZEOD RC seems to be in the in-car camera shots, then let us know what you think of Nissan’s LeMans chances in the comments at the bottom of the page.
