In case you’re wondering why we’re not covering the German round of eRoadRacing also being held this weekend, well, there’s only so many live events we can cover at once. At least until we get a European correspondent. In the meantime, you can read all the news on eRoadRacing.com. Last night the Indy crew held their qualifying session, right after race one of the Vance & Hines XR1200 race in which Shelina Moreda was also competing. I interviewed her after qualifying to find out what that was like.

I then spoke with her teammate Eric Bostrom, who’s coming around here for the first time in his epic roadracing career. He had some interesting things to say about why the bike was difficult on this track surface. It’s not just the tires, but the whole package…

I also eavesdropped on Ted Rich while he gave Kenyon Kluge some pointers for specific corners here at Indy, then asked them some questions.

Next I spoke to pole-sitter Shane Turpin, who was by far the fastest through T1 where I was watching Qualifying Practice.

As the eRoadRacing events are held at the end of the day, and well, in Indy there’s entirely too much fun to be had at night, between the Indy Mile and Motorcycles on Meridian. these reports have been delayed. I will, however, get the race report out to you as soon as the race is done. Race time is 4:30PM EST.The following is the grid lineup by QP times:
