2013 Goldwing F6B

Built on the back of the benchmark Wing, the F6B is an aggressive, long, low take on what is often considered a funky “older person’s” bike. It’s still a touring bike though and includes such features as a premium sound system with iPod compatibility, lockable and waterproof saddlebags, glovebox and multifunction gauge/screen — all in a blacked-out package. Available in red and black, standard or deluxe model, with the latter getting a passenger backrest, center stand, self-canceling turn signals and heated grip. Priced at $19,999 and $20,999, respectively.

About Jo Borras

I've been working in motorsports and tuning since 1997, with some the biggest names in the business. In 2008, the work we did on a hybrid/EV concept car attracted the attention of Gas 2 editors, and they invited me to join the team. I couldn't resist!

Funky “older person’s” bike? That is a new and differnet discription of the group of people I ride with that own “wings” including myself. If anything the F6B looks like Honda was in a hurry to jump into the Harley Road King market “Honda Davidson”. Why wouldn’t Honda take one of thier V-Twin powered bikes? They have the ability to design some nice looking fiberglass bags and a fork mounted fairing if they wanted to get into that market.
It will be interesting if the F6B actually draws a younger crowd since the rest of us that ride Wing’s are so old.

It would make a nice platform to convert to a trike. No need for the center stand, trunk, backrest and heated grips. Red color F6B with black matching kit fenders, would be an awesome looking trike kit, powder coated black rear wheels. Now that is a nice plat form for a touring trike, especially if pulling a red/black combo color Tailwind trailer. Honda would be smart to go one step further and add a trike kit as an option, eliminating the cost of the rear end of the F6B and adding a new trike kit. Now that would be a smart move by Honda….but who expects them to listen to the aging population needs…just because Harley did with the Tri Glide trike.
