Giveaway Alert: Win A 1-Year Membership/$250 Drive Time for Car Sharing Service Zipcar

One of the nice things about being a part of the automotive media(however small a part that is) are the perks, and a chance to pass on the generosity of major automakers. In an attempt to curry favor with the public, and offer people an opportunity to explore car sharing for themselves, ZipCar  is offering a one-year membership to its car sharing service, with Ford providing $250 of drive time!

The giveaway is in part to celebrate the recently-announced collaboration between Ford and ZipCar, which even has its own dedicated Facebook page. Ford has announced that it would be adding 1,000 vehicles to ZipCar services at college campuses across the country. Not only that, but Ford will knock $10 off of ZipCar’s annual membership fee ($30) to the first 100,000 people who sign up. And Ford will subsidize $1 towards the first million miles of driving for college students who sign up.

And then there is our little contest. The winner gets a free year membership, and $250 of driving time (which works out to about 24-30 hours, depending on the rate.)  To be eligible, check here to see if there are any ZipCar stations near you. Then head on over to our Facebook Page to like us and comment either on this post or over on the corresponding Facebook post telling us where you would take your ZipCar on a day trip. The eligible contestant with the best answer wins!

To be eligible you must;
-Live near a ZipCar station (duh)
-Be 18 years of age or older
-Possess a valid driver’s license
-Be a resident of the United States

So get creative and give us an answer that makes us want to give you this awesome oppertunity to experience a different way of driving.
