Ford Focus Electric Launch Delayed to 2012, Solar Panel Option Also Available

Ford Focus Electric

It would seem that the latest trend in automakers is a selective rollout of green vehicles in the most appealing markets. Ford, which has limited initial sales of the Focus Electric to 19 metropolitan areas, has pushed back the rollout until Spring of 2012. Unless you live in New York or California, that is.

Air-powered Scooter is Less Barbie Vespa, More Iron Man Moped

hornet_main

Like many green-tech enthusiasts, I’m simultaneously a fan of cutting-edge green tech, scooters, and the sort of pie-in-the-sky “vaporware” projects that push the boundaries of what we think of as possible.  As such, the compressed-air propelled scooter concept (above) is flipping all of my switches. It’s called the Hornet, and it combines a compressed-air engine, [...]

Plastic 2 Oil Turns Landfills into (stinky) Gold Mines

plastic2oil_main

Whether we like it or not, oil is as economically necessary for our (current) global society as it is a foundation for our fuels … and it’s not getting easier to come by.  Even those claims, however, are often met with controversy – some claiming that oil is running out, others claiming that oil is being [...]
