CONTEST ALERT: Win 5 Quarts of Biodegradable G-Oil!

Facebook Twitter Stumbleupon Digg Email Reddit Tumblr

We all want to save the environment, but we still need to change our oil. That’s where Green Earth Technologies and G-Oil come in. Read on to learn how you can win a FREE 5-Quart canister of their green oil.

What is G-Oil, and how could it possibly be green? It’s really simple actually. Using a process called dehydogenation, Green Earth Technologies sucks saturated fats from animal and plant origins and turns them into an unsaturated oils that both perform better than crude-based engine oils, it is non-toxic and totally biodegradable. Considering that crude oil from an oil change can poison up to a million gallons of ground water, this is a huge step in getting our vehicles away from oil and on to renewable sources.

Did I mention that G-Oil is also better for your engine than regular oil? It is, and GET has a handy dandy chart to prove it, but don’t take their word for it. As most of you already know, I am a huge gearhead, and in my spare time I rebuild engines. My last engine rebuild was a 351W-based stroker engine for my 1969 Mercury Cougar (which I am working to convert to propane.) I got the engine started last week, running G-Oil (combined with a break-in oil additive as its an old engine) and I am so impressed with the performance so far that I will only be using G-Oil in my fleet of cars from now on. Sounds like shameless pandering, but consider that G-Oil is also the Official Motor Oil for the American Le Mans Series track vehicles, and you start to realize that there really is something special about this oil.

Best of all? It’s made in America, and it’s not owned by some huge faceless multi-national oil company. Even the oil containers are recyclable. Starting to get the picture?

So by now I imagine most of you want to get your hands on this stuff for your next oil change. That’s where I come in. The contest is simple; between today and next Tuesday, I will randomly pick a winner for a FREE 5-Quart cansister of 5w-30 G-Oil from those who respond to this post with an answer to a very simple question.

What green-dream car would you like to use Green Earth Technology’s G-Oil in? And be creative with your answers!

After you’ve answered the question, make sure to LIKE both Gas 2.0 and Green Earth Technologies on Facebook to ensure your eligibility for the contest. You must be 18 years or older, be a U.S. citizen, and posses a valid U.S. driver’s license to be eligible (sorry Canada.)

That’s all there is too it; tell us your dream car, like us on Facebook, and you’re entered to win. The winner will be announced next Tuesday, right here, so stay tuned!

Don’t have a Facebook account but some of this stuff might be good for the new Hyundai Sonata Hybrid…. My LEAF can’t use any…

yeah seriously. I was just thinking the same thing. All my green dream cars are electric motorcycles, none of which currently have a need for motor oil. Some may one day need tranny oil though…

I’d use it in my 1967 Volvo 123GT, or better yet: swap the car for a 1960s Volvo 122 wagon, and have the Green Car Company of Bellevue, WA re-engine the wagon with a new VW diesel engine set up for grease, a service they offer for newer Volvo 240s.

A 4 seat carbon fiber based car that weighs 1500 pounds and has an onboard diesel generator that consumes 0.6 gph at standard highway cruise. 2 electric motors for 4 wheel drive and a very small battery pack to drive the 80hp electric for acceleration and 4 wheel traction. The car would be very aerodynamic top and bottom. The diesel generator would also have hydrogen mixed into the air intake for a very clean burn. 100 mpg is my target.

      now THAT’s exciting!

My choice would be Ultra-Uber green. The VW XL1 Diesel Hybrid at ~260mpg.

It would use G-Oil with a “Bio-D” mix with the Hybrid. That’s about as green as one could get w/o driving an internal combustion engine.

    Dream car?

Well, to do full justice to this oil, you’d have to run it in something really clean: propane or natural gas. You can’t really get natural gas as a consumer in the states, so a propane conversion is your best bet. (be sure to boost your compression)

You could probably also stretch that change twice as long as normal, gaseous fuels don’t have particulate matter.

Only THE Ultimate muscle car would suffice – A 1987 Chevy Monte Carlo SS convertible. Jet black, with that little spoiler on the back and the car raised about 2 inches off the frame.

Or am I not being specific enough?

    Or a Yugo.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! nahh, that was a stupid car…

I’ve been using this stuff for about 6 months now on my car and my girlfriend’s car. Going great so far and it’s working great and seems to be doing well for my mpg with a slight improvement.

Not exactly scientific data, but certainly not bad either. :-)

A 1999 Vegetable Oil converted Mercedes. I’ve wanted to get rid of the only petroleum part of it for a while. Didn’t know GET existed till now.

My dream car is the one I currently drive, a 2000 Chevy Metro with a turbo diesel engine.

I’d like to use it in a honda Fit…if only I had such a car.

      @ Stevie

My friend recently brought home an entire patio furniture set…in a Honda Fit. I was amazed at how much stuff can fit in such a small car. If only they made a CNG version.

I suppose if it needs oil I’d take the Volt. Or perhaps a Tesla Roadster with 5 quarts of oil in the passenger seat.
