
Evolutionary Improvement:
1. Next generation Internal Combustion.
Simply improving fuel efficiency, often overlooked in favor of building in more power (invisible hand)
Advantage: Quick deployment, no additional infrastructure needed.
Disadvantage: Takes firm legislative pressure to ensure that it happens. Seemingly easy policy is at the whim of political systems in nations where corruption makes legislation difficult to enact.
Example: Gas 2.0: Ford Ecoboost that reduces greenhouse emissions 15% not 30%

Nice summary of many technologies, thanks. I would disagree with the points on GMO agriculture. I think there are too many uncertainties at this point in this area. They have not been able to show they can reliably increase food yields, despite the claims. And it is still an area where health and safety has not been adequately researched.
