I don’t think that you looked too closely at #5.
On its face, it seems ridiculous–soda is mostly water, so the energy it does contain is extremely dilute. A quick calculation based on web figures says that soda has about 5% of the energy of gasoline.
Looking at web sites that promote this device reveals that there’s quite a bit of woo going on here. They talk about being precise about its alignment with respect to magnetic North and South, etc. Here’s another snippet:
“The technology used in the GEET Fuel Processor is a combination of the most basic scientific principles, most of which falls within the normal rules and of thermodynamics. But some of the 70 simultaneous phenomenon are not found in those books, since it is the combination of events, which is the body of this discovery. Put quite simply, the exhaust heat is transferred to the incoming fuel vapor, which must be maintained in a vacuum, and the overall configuration provides a molecular breakdown within the vacuum of all of the heavier elements. Therefore, intensifying the vacuum, the speed of molecular breakdown or reaction is magnified, and less heat is required.”
So all we need to do to make this work is to get rid of the pesky thermodynamical rules!

Moving towards 100% recycling, converting waste organic materials into fuel, materials or fertilizers is indeed valuable.
The processes that will win in the long term are those with the best waste-material-to-output efficiency taking into account the energy and other costs involved in the recycling process.
Production of biofuels on the other hand is not waste recycling and in many cases aggravates the environmental problems we want to fight. Competing with food production yields increased food prices, less organic food production, more fresh water consumption and in many cases requires almost as much energy as delivered.
Moving towards 100% recycling, converting waste organic materials into fuel, materials or fertilizers is indeed valuable.

Detroit, remains, monument to American Capitalism, a rotting, Third World Johannesburg in the middle of the once richest, most powerful country in the world, a festering, dieing, puss-filled, STD infected, AIDS ravaged, corrupt corpse of what once was! The end-point of a once great civilization, its tombstone, and, unfortunately, other American cities are destined to follow suit! The harbinger of the failure to come! Bio-diesel is the real answer, and from Algae, and burnt in 40 % more efficient Euro-style diesel engines, but Exxon will not have it! They run the “Fuel for Fools” show in America, and will force their gasoline, laced with their additives through cheap poorly build spark ignition inefficient 1920′s technologies engines for the highest ROI possible in fuel sales, as is their mandate by American Corporate law, and even to the extent of selling out their country, if necessary, their first obligation being to the shareholder, by American Corporate law, and he is a Saudi Prince! Poor Shaq, made it on Sports Scholarships to be sure, he doesn’t really understand, does he! Do you?
