Cash for clunkers is a total waste of time,, if you tries as hard as you did in 1941 you could have a fleet of smaller sized motor vehicles in as shorter time.

This time you would not re-tooling to make weapons but smaller cars, but you would need to get your power from within, instead of relying on parts forein.

BTW – if you think this is a ‘free’ program – I’d really suggest you take a look at the amount of taxes you paid last year. Not the ‘refund’ you got – but what you actually paid that the government kept.

Of course, if it had been passed first, then we wouldn’t have Government Motors instead of General Motors and no need for the government to use our tax money to compete with Ford Motor Co.
