For light bodied vegans of India this is idal! They can travel their rutted roads in the heat and get away with it! Try packing four 300+ pound Americans into one of these at -20 degrees in Wisconsin and go jumping snowbanks to get to work on time! Not gonna happen! Requires at least a Ford SUV and a lot of courage! Different strokes for different folks! Wishful thinking places these in America, not more! Go stand on a scale and see how you wrack up against Asian body weights alone! Forget the tighter schedules and higher expectations in America! Good for some retired folks in gated villages only! Just like the small electric cars!

I'm all about being green, saving on what's not needed etc, but a trunk door should be a human right...what's the point?

I would not buy a Tata Nano if imported to the US. Important things to disabled persons like myself, like auto, A/C, PS, PB, PW, and PM, are not offered as options with the Tata Nano.

Since Toyota did not sell the 1.0 liter Toyota Yaris that gets 60+ mpg in the US, I will just have to make do with the 1.5 liter Toyota Yaris that gets 38.8 mpg with auto, A/C, PS, PB, PW, PM, with a place to plug in a navigation system and a place to plug in a ecometer.
