Obama is wrong. Biofuels are a great idea, but Obama's choice of funding methods is just plain wrong.

Grants to do anything in any specified way lock out other and possibly better methods that do not have the subsidy. it is not difficult though to provide a tax fund free subsidy to all possible competitors in this or any other business development. The correct method is a tax moratorium for the business that is working on/producing the desired product.

By eliminating government cash subsidies, the business is free to use what they think is the best way. They are not obligated to use amethod that they have determined is not efficient just to get the subsidy. The result is more jobs, which pay income taxes and property taxes, either directly from the workers own homes of from their landlords. Many counties in this country use this method of attracting businesses effectively. It works.

Obama's problem is that it doesn't allow him to control the business. With his total lack of successful executive experience, and his proven failures so far, I see this independence from government control as a positive thing.

The biggest problem that I see is that Obama is maintaining government control just like all other Fascists. If the idea is to get the biofuel into production then just absolve the producers from taxes for up to 10 years. That incentive would do much better than an incompetent government agency running things. And it would cost a whole lot less, too.

I would rephrase the following:

"...So what are the latest and greatest ways the new agency will utilize to save us from destruction due to fossil fuel use?..."

to something like,

"...So what are the latest and greatest ways the new agency will utilize to increase the destruction of food based biofuels?..."
