This step makes good sense. Europe, is already metric, and diesel, light, small car loving and on the trains, as is the rest of the world. We await the catch-up process in the 'States and look forward to them adapting to fast trains, fewer planes, and telecommunications in place of personal confrontations.They are growing up fast, OPEC insists on it by raising prices on dwindling oil supplies every chance they get, and Mother Nature is slowly easing them into adulthood in the world. I am glad to VW experimenting with the different types of propulsion. I would love to see more diesels in the US and I would love to see VW take on the hydraulic hybrid!
