Published on August 29th, 2008
Thank goodness for over eager car buffs and Transformer fans – this morning, our friends at Jalopnik posted some great “spy” pics of the yet-to-be-released 2010 Chevy Volt and got some great video of it in it’s break out role in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

How ‘green’ is the volt? Is this really a significant step from GM to go green? Aside, I think it is essential for us, as consumers, to support businesses that not only provide a desirable good but also benefit the environment. For example, http://www.simplestop.net stops your postal junk mail and helps the environment.

Luckily for the Volt, the pictures you have barely show it. Prototypes of the volt were beautiful, sexy, and made nearly all my friends explain that they’ll hold of purchasing a car until they could buy the Volt.
Now that photos of how the Volt looks as a production car, have leaked out to the web, all those same friends of mine are saying they’ll never spend money on that generic looking piece of boring Detroit design.
I suspect Chevy won’t find the success they expect. Mostly because they are incapable of taking a great idea and “committee”ing into a bad one.
The Volt’s prototype was an Arabian horse. The production model is a camel.
Within 5 years, I bet this car company is going to be out of business.
