Hey thanks Christopher!

I've been chewing on that one for a while, and the other day a bolt hit me from nowhere (I think I was in the shower) about the analogy to the stock market.

I'd agree that the "Green Deal" should involve private industry much more that the original New Deal did. The original New Deal wasn't perfect, but we should learn from our mistakes when implementing the Green Deal.

Man I like your way of thinking Nick! The whole diversifying our energy portfolio idea isn't new, but I never really thought about it in that sense, just in the monetary sense with investments.

I have lately been looking at alternate power for vehicles (electric mostly) and I've realized that what you are speaking of is already happening to a small degree. Many people are converting their cars to electric or using cooking oil, or whatever else there is.

I think most of what you outlined would come from the free market, individuals, and local governments as we realize our specific needs in whatever location we happen to live. The federal government should have jurisdiction only in what it is designed to have jurisdiction in. I don't know what that is exactly- road infrastructure? Whatever it is they are responsible for as outlined in the constitution.
